Sealants

Why are sealants important for me?
Dental sealants or tooth sealants are a plastic resin that a dentist bonds to a tooth as a means of helping to prevent the formation of tooth decay (cavities).Tooth decay is caused by the bacteria in that white film you probably that can form on a person’s teeth. The longer that pesky film stays on a tooth’s surface, the more likely it is that it will form a cavity and this sealant protects against that.
