Digital Radiography

Digital Radiography (X-rays) is a technology which we utilize which has many benefits. With digital radiography up to 80% less radiation is required than conventional radiographs. Images do not require developing time and are available for immediate observation. Unlike radiographs of the past, the provider can enhance and/or enlarge the images for easier detection, and patient education.

No more biting on film... Digital Radiography utilizes a sensor (as seen to the right) which captures the low-level radiation and produces some extraordinary, clear, and accurate images (as seen below).

At Progressive Dental, we are able to provide Panoramic and Cephelometric x-rays. These images are used to diagnose a variety of conditions for children and adults including: impacted or missing teeth, abnormalities of the teeth or bones, and aid in the diagnoses of orthodontic problems.  The staff at Progressive Dental can  electronically transfer images to specialists if needed.
