On September 24th, Progressive Dental will be participating in the annual Doctors With a Heart Day.
From 8am to 12pm, Progressive Dental’s Kirkwood, Endwell, Norwich and Montrose offices, as well as Chenango Bridge Dental, invite members of the community who do not have access to dental care to visit our offices for free procedures. Any dental service that can be performed and completed in one visit will be offered which includes: cleanings, fillings, extractions, fluoride treatments, and x-rays.
Each year for the last 20 years, Dr. Sonny Spera and his staff have dedicated a day to providing urgent dental care to those who would not otherwise be able to afford it.
Created twenty eight years ago by Iowa dentist Dr. Duane Schmidt, Doctors With a Heart Day encourages healthcare providers to give back to their communities. Since 1995, Progressive Dental has treated over 5,309 patients during this yearly event, providing over $920,017 in services to residents of the Southern Tier of New York and Northeastern Pennsylvania.
Looking forward to the annual event, Dr. Spera takes pride in what his staff has accomplished. “I’m proud of all the people that have joined in and helped us with their energy, wisdom and passion. It’s amazing what can be done if everyone does just a little,” he shared.
